Account and device identity
The Account page separates the account session from the trusted device identity. Normal sign-out keeps this App's device identity. "Sign out and remove this device" also revokes the identity and deletes the local device key.
See CLI authentication and devices for CLI sign-in, sign-out, token rotation, and headless authorization. See Devices and security for device trust and encrypted control channels.
Check account status
Open Settings > Account. The page shows a loading state before it resolves to signed in or signed out. A short loading state during verification does not mean the account is signed out.
The signed-in page contains identity, subscription and usage, device connection, and account actions. If the account is signed in but the device connection needs attention, use Reconnect to restore the secure control connection.
Sign out
Sign out removes only the account session on this device:
- Sign in again to use cloud chat, memory, and device sync.
- The trusted App identity remains for an easier later sign-in.
- Local chats, providers, and other local data are not deleted.
Sign out and remove this device
This action signs out, revokes the current App from trusted devices, and deletes its local device key. A later sign-in is treated as a new device. If new-device confirmation is enabled, another trusted device must confirm it.
Use normal sign-out when temporarily switching accounts. Remove the device only when it is being transferred, lost, or retired.
Delete the account
Open Settings > About > Delete account. Account deletion is permanent and removes the account and associated server data. Export anything you need first and confirm the subscription cancellation and store billing state.
Deleting the account is different from clearing local chat history. Clearing local history affects only the current device.
