Memory
OriginRouter manages conversation compression records, automatically extracted cross-conversation memory, and manually saved personal memory separately. Disabling memory affects future messages and does not automatically delete stored records.
Whether memory is included in a request, where it is stored, and how it relates to local agent execution depends on the session and model source. See Data and execution boundaries for the relevant data flows.
Memory types

Some plans retain recent conversation context without cloud long-term memory. The page indicates whether the current plan includes each capability.
Add personal memory
Open Settings > Memory > Personal memory and use the plus button aligned with the section title.
Keep each memory to one fact or preference, for example, "I prefer concise, direct answers."
The App rejects empty content and exact duplicates before saving.
The personal memory list is informational, not a set of clickable cards. Use the edit and delete actions on each record.
Edit and delete
Edited content applies to later conversations. Deleting a personal memory stops it from being included in future requests; other personal and conversation memories are unaffected.
Clear automatic personal memory permanently removes only automatically extracted facts and preferences. It does not delete manual personal memory or conversation compression records.
Memory behavior
- Enable memory controls whether outgoing chat requests include memory context.
- Use personal memory controls both automatic and manually saved personal memory.
- A successfully saved change applies to the next message you send.
If saving fails, remain on the page; do not assume that the service accepted the change. Refresh the status and verify it again.
Search and Memory Inquiry
Normal search finds conversation summaries and personal memories. Memory Inquiry is isolated from normal chat and analyzes memory with traceable evidence citations. It cannot start when no Memory Bank is available.
